His dedication to the construction industry is driven by the rewarding process of developing projects from their initial concept to completion and seeing how these spaces support the achievements of those who utilize them.

Influenced by a family deeply rooted in the construction business, he naturally pursued a career in this field. His formative years at Colorado State University were marked by significant leadership roles, notably as president of the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) chapter and as a critical member of the Integrated Project Delivery ASC Competition Team. These positions involved addressing complex construction management challenges and crafting solutions that were showcased to industry leaders.

His long-term goals include managing substantial construction projects and establishing a consulting firm to mentor young professionals and raise industry standards.

His hands-on experience in his family’s company, which specialized in constructing homes using Insulated Concrete Form (ICF), ingrained in him the principles of sustainable building practices. This construction method is known for its energy efficiency and resilience, shaping its approach to durable and environmentally friendly buildings.

From his youth, he displayed leadership qualities and a dedication to excellence, which is evident in his academic life and passion for tennis. He excelled in tennis, leading his school teams to regional and state championships and earning numerous individual awards.

Vik Sheverda also spent a significant portion of his childhood in Hawaii, which instilled a lasting appreciation for the environment. This respect for nature profoundly influences his professional ethos, driving his commitment to eco-friendly construction practices. During his time at university, he led an initiative to install Piezoelectric Tiles in areas of heavy pedestrian traffic, an innovative approach to harnessing energy sustainably.

Initially enrolled in Civil Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder in 2015, he quickly realized his true passion was Construction Management and transferred to Colorado State University. There, he graduated with a 3.78 GPA, was recognized by the Sigma Lambda Chi Honor Society, and consistently appeared on the Dean’s List.

He oversees various construction projects at i2 Construction in Parker, CO, ensuring they adhere to the highest standards from start to finish. Previously, he worked as a construction estimator and project engineer at Saunders Construction in Denver, participating in major projects such as developing a significant heat recovery system.

His internship at the United States Capitol was particularly memorable, where he helped preserve historical architectural elements, an experience he views as a significant honor and a cornerstone of his professional development.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, he is deeply involved in community service initiatives like CM Cares and Habitat for Humanity, using his construction expertise to assist those in need. He also supports the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, contributing to environmental conservation efforts. For leisure, he enjoys hiking and ATV riding in Colorado outdoors and stays active with Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, boxing, skiing, and weight lifting.
